Let the race begin.
First to the turkey, the wrapping paper.
The children impatient, writing lists of..
"Dear Santa Clause"
First to the favourite toys.
Making a list and checking it twice,
"Honey did you write to the such and suches?"
"Oh no i'll add them to the list"
December 20th.
Finish line is in sight.
A month to prepare.
The advent chocolate nearly finished.
Presents wrapped, hidden under beds.
Excitment rises.
December 25th, midnight.
December 25th, 7 am. Children awake- excited.
December 25th, 10 am. Presents opened.
December 25th, 4pm. Tidying up lunch.
December 25th, 11.59pm. Just one minute to go.

Snow Day
Rainy days turns snowy night
at the sudden drop of temperature.
Wake up and open the curtains
to a white washed world.
Children sledging,
students snowball fighting,
and snowmen grow up from the ground.
Soaked through and shivering
by the end of the day.
Laughing all the way.
Head indoors and change into pyjamas,
with slippers and a jumper for good measure.
Then settle infront of the TV
with a steaming mug of hot chocolate.
Repeat as often as necessary.
